This look got me excited :) . This is the exact look I would wear everyday in Spring :P .  Soft but defined brows, pales, pinks, blush that would make you look younger and plumper lips :P .mac2

Lips and cheeks get the pretty young thing treatment. Cremesheen Glass makes its comeback with six exciting new shades and three requested bring-backs! Add Mineralize Blush duos and Lip Pencils to delight and define. All Too Fabulous!

What do you need to achieve this look?
Mineralize Blush:
A limited-edition Mineralize Blush featuring two shades swirled into an abstract pattern. Delivers the sheer colour and soft, dimensional pearl finish of all M∙A∙C Mineralize powder formulas.
MG2Y03
Lip Pencil:
pencil designed for shaping, lining or filling in the lip. Lip Pencils have a smooth, creamy texture that is perfect for lining the lips or filling them in. They are long-lasting and available in a wide selection of colours that each work well with many different lipstick shades. The colour of Lip Pencils is protected by Vitamin E, which acts as an anti-oxidant, and they contain emollients that moisturize the lips. Lip Pencils can be worn alone, with Lipstick, or Lipglass.M38063
Creme Sheen Glass
A lip finish that fuses the creamy, sheen-filled nature of Cremesheen Lipstick with the shine of M∙A∙C Lipglass. Soft, comfortable, non-sticky. Applies with a doe-foot applicator. Use as a top layer to its namesake Lipstick or on its own.MG7707

Amongst the three, I am gearing on buying 2 shades of these:mac

I guess by this time my skin has already been fully-rested from having no make-up for almost 2 months. You see, I have started to grow some unknown rashes (must be caused by too much dryness) and decided to stop putting anything for almost 2 months. Now, it is back to normal, hydrated and all. Come Monday, I vow to be consistent with my workout routine (making sure that my skechers shape ups are ready by that time) and also put on and try out different make-up/FOTD looks whether I leave the house or just stay home. So watch out for some FOTD entries again :) .

In the meantime, here are 10 Food which can help in keeping your crowning glory healthy and shiney.

  1. Salmon
  2. Dark Green Vegetables
  3. Beans
  4. Nuts
  5. Poultry (Chicken &   Turkey)
  6. Eggs
  7. Whole Grain
  8. Oysters
  9. Low Fat Dairy Products
  10. Carrots

We just got back from our weekly mini-reunion with my in-laws. I swear their outdoor fireplaces are working overtime because of the, well, still chilly weather. I cannot wait for Spring to come and spend more time outdoors. This Winter has been the harshest so far and it’s not funny anymore. Even my kiddo is cranky because there are days their pre-school has to be shut down because of the snow and extreme cold. Argh. Apart from these reasons, my hair and skin are getting to be very dry already that no amount of conditioner and moisturizer can beat the dryness. So please, Spring, come quick, now, pronto!

Waaa! I freaked out earlier this morning when I saw that my notebook computer has a chipped hardware, specifically on its right part. This laptop will turn 3 years old this year and looks like I have abused the usage of it as it looks much much older than 3 years old boohoo!

Moving on…
I used to be so much in awe with girls who have long, straight, shiny hair. I despise curls, may it be natural or unnatural. Must be because, I was born with one and I dislike my curls before. Until I met this Toni&Guy senior stylist, named Ziggy (he’s a hair genius!) who gave my hair that amazing cut accentuating my curls making me very confident to put it down every day, wash and wear. I changed my outlook on hair. For me, as long as it looks healthy and shiney, that to me is a beautiful hair. That is why when asked by my friends whether they have to proceed to cellophane treatment, relaxed/straightening, curling or perming, I always say NO! Love the kind of hair you have and you can always style them the way you want but not on a permanent basis. But that’s just me.

Currently, I do not have the best hair. Must be the extended Winter season (brrr!) and I haven’t been drinking the required number of glasses of water, so yes hello dehydration :P . Here are 4 Tips from Daily Make-Over to keep those hair healthy and shiney:

Step 1: Lather Up Gently
Basic winter hair care starts with a gentle shampoo that won’t strip hair of moisture. Try to shampoo less than 3 times a week and use a dry shampoo in between washings. If you simply can’t part with a favorite shampoo or daily wash, blend two parts shampoo with one part conditioner for added moisture. If you’re ready for something new, try a conditioning treatment that has a mild foaming agent like my Brocato Constructor.

Step 2: Sleep On It
Put the beauty back into beauty sleep by using an overnight hair treatment. Place a hair mask from the mid shaft of wet or dry hair down to protect against moisture loss during the night. Repeat this process as often as like since there is no such thing as over-conditioning hair.

Step 3: Give Your Scalp Some TLC
Just like the skin on your face and body, your scalp gets drier in the winter. If it seems tight and flaky, treat it to a massage. Knead your head for two minutes every evening to boost healthy blood circulation and slough off dead skin cells.

Step 4: Feed Your Hair
You are what you eat. Consuming foods rich in essential fatty acids can do wonders for making your hair look shiny and thick. I suggest adding more avocados, walnuts, and almonds to your daily diet during the winter. Here’s a great avocado hair mask recipe–it’s so natural, you can even drink it! In a blender, combine one very ripe avocado with one tablespoon each of olive oil, apple cider vinegar, and brown sugar. Blend until the texture is creamy, then massage onto damp hair and put on a shower cap. Step into a hot shower to steam your hair for ten minutes before rinsing. The apple cider vinegar really adds to hair shine!

I once researched on this cosmetology school a few years back when I was thinking of shifting careers. I was almost 100 percent decided to take short courses on make-up and hairstyling until I just opted to take apprentices from senior artists in town. So, when a friend was geared on taking up cosmetology courses, I just referred her to Regency Beauty for their list of cosmetology schools nationwide. The site is user-friendly and very comprehensive. They are categorized according to specific courses and locations. Testimonials from previous students are also incorporated in the description to help you make your perfect choice.

So, how about you, have you thought of changing careers?

sephoraI got this etymology of Sephora from their Twitter official page. Twitter is such a good medium to exchange ideas, promote products and services and get news and information on random stuff. Like when I needed to find a good heated mattress pads (because of the extended winter season argh!), I was able to get a reliable online supplier pronto from among my followings in Twitter. Isn’t it amazing. Anyhow, just though you’d be interested with this:

The etymology of Sephora:

Sephos (Greek for beauty) + Zipphora (wife of Moses known for her beauty) = Sephora

This Express Hypercurl Cat Eyes Mascara got me curious as soon as I opened it because of the comb-like brush. Maybelline’s reputation with Mascara has always been outstanding and this particular one did not fail me :P . It gave an extra omph to my lashes and the comb-like brush can direct where I want my lashes to go and emphasized,  now you know why it’s called cat eyes. It also made the fine lashes easier to reach. No smearing for the entire day of application.
IMG_1234I still have to try out the other lipstick but this particular Maybelline Watershine Collagen Shimmers in shade B23 made my lips plump and the shade is perfect for spring. Just make sure to line your lips with one shade darker lipliner to make it more defined.

It’s almost 10 pm and I am itching to do my 20-minute 30-Day-Shred workout. You see, after reading this colon cleanse diet, I have thought of quitting the natural and hard way (diet + regular exercise), but then again, I remembered my New Year’s resolution which is to live a healthier lifestyle and stop on crash dieting. So yes, after I finish these last 2 entries for this blog, I’m off to working out with Jillian Michaels hee hee.

As mentioned, I got this Maybelline Loot and immediately tried them out. By far this Clear Smooth Minerals Healthy Natural Luminous Blush in NOO Soft Mauve (whew! what a long name you got there!) is my favorite from among the loot. It is very easy to apply, unlike other mineral brands, because it is less pigmented. Surprisingly, it is long wearing too. To be honest, I like this over my Mac mineralized blush probably because I am never careful on applying blush as I tend to overdo it.

Okay, these Vivid & Smooth Liners by EyeStudio Maybelline in Plum and Green failed my expectation. I was giddy to apply it the next day we went out because it was easier to glide on as compared with my ever reliable Urban Decay Glide-on pens. There is a slight smell, similar to crayons. Colors are awesome but at the end of the day, I look like a zombie! It smeared, smudged, etc.. etc… Maybe, the next time I use it, I’ll apply a little lighter.

How come I didn’t see this in LAS when I went to Vegas last month. Probably, I was too busy reading reviews on these wrinkle creams from my iPhone. So yes, it’s official, Sephora Vending Machines have conquered the following airports: BNA in Nashville, TN; LAS in Las Vegas, NV; IND in Indianapolis, IN; DFW in Dallas, TX; JFK in Queens, NY; or IAH in Houston, TX. These are located past security checks and you’ll find your favorite skincare, fragrance and makeup products to complement your trip.
