It’s almost 10 pm and I am itching to do my 20-minute 30-Day-Shred workout. You see, after reading this colon cleanse diet, I have thought of quitting the natural and hard way (diet + regular exercise), but then again, I remembered my New Year’s resolution which is to live a healthier lifestyle and stop on crash dieting. So yes, after I finish these last 2 entries for this blog, I’m off to working out with Jillian Michaels hee hee.
As mentioned, I got this Maybelline Loot and immediately tried them out. By far this Clear Smooth Minerals Healthy Natural Luminous Blush in NOO Soft Mauve (whew! what a long name you got there!) is my favorite from among the loot. It is very easy to apply, unlike other mineral brands, because it is less pigmented. Surprisingly, it is long wearing too. To be honest, I like this over my Mac mineralized blush probably because I am never careful on applying blush as I tend to overdo it.
Okay, these Vivid & Smooth Liners by EyeStudio Maybelline in Plum and Green failed my expectation. I was giddy to apply it the next day we went out because it was easier to glide on as compared with my ever reliable Urban Decay Glide-on pens. There is a slight smell, similar to crayons. Colors are awesome but at the end of the day, I look like a zombie! It smeared, smudged, etc.. etc… Maybe, the next time I use it, I’ll apply a little lighter.
Two weeks ago, I received this package full of Maybelline Loot plus a bagtag which I find very cute in the mail. I was not expecting this to come after I spoke with my friend who was supposed to send this last year haha. So yes, this loot came my friend, H, who is one of Maybelline’s NY Color Artists and he would often give me a portion of his make-up allowance. hee hee. This was what he sent me, a first Maybelline loot in 2010. Looking forward to more freebies this year.

No, not another snowstorm please. I’ve had enough of snow already. Strange as it may sound but this snowstorm always comes on a Weekend! I know it seems fortunate for people who work but what about our family weekends, yay! Anyways, I am too lazy to even check on this credit repair service for a friend so I hope this video on how to do those smokey eye make-up will suffice the lack of make-up updates andhopefully, heer you up on this very gloomy weather. And yes, I have been living under the rock, the rock of shopping! I wasn’t able to grab myself this limited edition Urban Decay’s new Alice in Wonderland Book of Shadows at $52. Don’t worry, you and I can still sign up to be notified as soon as the next round of palettes goes on sale. Now, that’s what I get from ignoring all online shops’ emails and sales alert. Come to think of it, why did I even bother checking their site when I was supposed to be checking ways on how to reduce belly fat.
But yes, this is such a good deal and a nice palette combination .
Like I previously wrote, my friends and family know me so well that during Christmas, Make-up loot is their top choice for my Christmas presents hee hee. Finally, I was able to try on this Garnier Brightening Eye Roll-On which I blogged about a few months back. It is meant to reduce dark circle and puffiness in your eyes.
When my mom and I were randomly doing our vanity kit shopping along with some turks and caicos all inclusive packages researching on the side, we chanced upon a buy one, get one 50% off for this product. Of course, being the sensible shoppers that we are, we immediately grabbed ours.
It has been my 2nd week of using this and unfortunately, I do not see much effect. I think cucumber slices work better than this. I will make another review when I passed 1 month of using this.

You see, I used to be not fond of eyeliners, well at least for my personal use and for everyday make-up. I have dark under-eye circles and my eyes are very round and big. Thus, only a few strokes of eyeliners would make my feature look very sharp. I don’t like that. But of course, during special occasions, eyeliners are a must to complete my look. However, when I came here, I noticed that my eyes have become droopy (yes, old age) and during winter I look very pale without one. So I started to try out other eyeliners from gel to cream to pencils. I have been a regular user of Mac Kohl and other cheapo gel eyeliner brands until I discover Urban Decay Glide-On . My favorite is this Velvet Rope. From this collection, I love the Stash and 1999 shades. Very easy to apply, it literally glides. Once applied, you can smudge it and let it dry. I love how these glider pens enhance my eyes but with a softer and defined look. Next, would be the Smashbox cream eyeliners. You gotta have a perfect eyeliner brush in order to achieve a clean look. This is what I use during special occasions because the colors are more pigmented than the UD Glide-on pens.
