This look got me excited :) . This is the exact look I would wear everyday in Spring :P .  Soft but defined brows, pales, pinks, blush that would make you look younger and plumper lips :P .mac2

Maybelline Watershine Collagen Shimmers + Volum Express Hypercurl Cat Eyes Mascara

This Express Hypercurl Cat Eyes Mascara got me curious as soon as I opened it because of the comb-like brush. Maybelline’s reputation with Mascara has always been outstanding and this particular one did not fail me :P . It gave an extra omph to my lashes and the comb-like brush can direct where I want my lashes to go and emphasized,  now you know why it’s called cat eyes. It also made the fine lashes easier to reach. No smearing for the entire day of application.
IMG_1234I still have to try out the other lipstick but this particular Maybelline Watershine Collagen Shimmers in shade B23 made my lips plump and the shade is perfect for spring. Just make sure to line your lips with one shade darker lipliner to make it more defined.

Maybelline Loot.

Two weeks ago, I received this package full of Maybelline Loot plus a bagtag which I find very cute in the mail. I was not expecting this to come after I spoke with my friend who was supposed to send this last year haha. So yes, this loot came my friend, H, who is one of Maybelline’s NY Color Artists and he would often give me a portion of his make-up allowance. hee hee. This was what he sent me, a first Maybelline loot in 2010. Looking forward to more freebies this year.

Christmas Loot #1: Estee Lauder Color Harmonies

Like I previously wrote, my friends and family know me so well that during Christmas, Make-up loot is their top choice for my Christmas presents hee hee. Here’s one of the make-up loots I received last Christmas. Glad to have this because I started collecting palettes over individually packed make-up as I find them handy and organized.

So far both the blush and eyeshadows were long wearing and highly-pigmented but lipsticks need to be re-applied as often.

As I have written in my previous entry, I failed to keep my vow. I broke a vow not to shop for anything for myself from October 1-January 2010. fall is just around the corner

Can you feel the fall-like breeze every now and then? Hmm, looks like summer’s going to end earlier than expected. One of the things I have noticed is that I needed to apply and re-apply lotion and lip balms every now and then because I end up with choppy lips and itchy skin. Those are personal natural occurrences during fall and winter. The other day, I asked DH to accompany me to the park and jog a few rounds, I hardly sweat at all!  That’s how chilly the wind was.

Anyways, I have a new lip balm brand which I have added to my so-called toys collection. You see, I am a huge fan of lipgloss, lip balm, and lip sticks. My friend, G even kidded me one time that I may have lots of lips to own such huge collection of lip cosmetics hee hee.

Moving on, the first time I heard about the Bigelow Lip Balm was when J gifted me with one :) . I instantly loved it. It gives you that long-lasting shine, moisture and freshness of breath! As if you are chewing on mints all day. Mind you, they are really cheap. My favorites are: MAGENTA MINT MENTHA LIP TINT, CINNAMINT MENTHA LIP SHINE and MENTHA LIP SHINE FRESHENER. I just realized I never got the chance to review my NYX Haul which I bought during their last huge sale.  So before I check on this life insurance from Wholesale Insurance, here are photos of my NYX Haul and my take on this brand.

Lipsticks:
*NYX LIPS: Cocoa, Thalia, Champagne, Snow white
*NYX ROUND: Perfect, Herades, Margarita, Peony, Frapuccino, Summer Love
*NYX Black Label: Tea in the Afternoon, Nude

The ROUND lipstick collection will keep your lips moisturized but the the BLACK LABEL collection has a long-wearing factor. Must-get shades are Thalia, Perfect, Peony, Tea in the Afternoon and Nude. However, you have to re-apply these lipsticks especially after every meals. They are not that long-wearing as compared to other high-end brands.

I love their blush and all the shades I got are just perfect. Although, the Dusty Rose is heavily pigmented which can be very pink on my cheeks because I have a fair-complexion, the Angel shade is perfect for that blushing effect. The Taupe shade is good for contouring while the Nutmeg shade is very comparable with the Nutmeg blush of BodyShop. Surprisingly, their blush are long-wearing, no need for touch-ups.Blush, blush!

When to Dump Your Make-Up!

Here’s a quick run down of the life span of Make-Up before I head on to buy some kitchen rugs. I still wonder what Hoarders and Make-up Addicts do when their Make-Up expires. I bet they just keep throwing them away to make room for newer ones.

This is one of the reasons I control myself from hoarding because I know it’s never healthy to use expired make-up.

I feel like blogging today. Haven’t you noticed? I’ve been bombarding this blog with entries :) . So before I proceed and contact this porcelain tile supplier hubby asked me to do, I am going to share my recent lipgloss haul.

If there is 1 thing I love to hoard, that would be lipsticks/lipglosses :) . I just can’t get enough of them.

Anyways, I could not really make an in-depth review of all these lipglosses because I love them all. But you all know that MAC Lipglass can really create a very luminous effect on the lips. It also reduces all lip lines and it is long-wearing. On the other hand, Smashbox lip glosses are heavy in terms of coverage and I love it because it is very pigmented. The Clinique Long Last glosswear has very light coverage. But the biggest surprise is the Smashbox O-gloss :) . I just love it and perfect for Summer. It gives you the natural perfect shade of pink that suits your skintone. It’s magic!
