The Story of My Life: I cannot live without a concealer
.
Seriously, I want to undergo those laser-injection-type which could lessen the darkness of undereye circles, but I am too coward since the skin in that area is extra sensitive. So for the meantime, I am happy to have discovered these concealers.
The 1st 2 concealers are my staple concealers as these are the ones I use on a daily basis. The Smashbox is very good for humid and hot season while the Revlon Colorstay during winter.
The 3rd concealer, I have been using for almost 4 years now but the catch is I only use it during special occasions or events which I know I have no time to retouch. And yes, the price is a factor why I do not use it often.
The last 2 concealers were gifts from make-up artist-friends and I love them, I use it during my job interviews and when I know we have meetings or when we have guests and yes, no time for retouch is a factor. They are long-wearing and are not cakey at all. The coverage is very nice, very good for corporate and barely there make-up

One of the friends that I met up with in NYC is a professional Make-up artist. He was here to attend an airbrush make-up class in NYC and also to meet with an agent who could discuss to him the most updated life insurance rates.
He makes sure to come to NYC at least once a year to attend various make-up courses in order to improve his skills and be competitive and updated in the field. He was telling me that lately, more and more pro make-up artists are gearing towards the use of Airbrush because of the high definition trend. I came up with a few advantages and disadvantages that were coined from our convo. Here they are:
PROS: Long wearing, good to skin as it won’t sink into your pores, definitely the best make-up for high definition photography, sanitary-can be shared.
CONS: Expensive, time-consuming, too many equipments and could not be applied on your own as you need to keep your eyes closed.
So what do you think? Are you pro or against airbrush make-up?
When it comes night make-up, I usually recommend the use of the color silver or grays, when it comes to accentuating your eyes. I find silver elegant and dramatic for any eye shape for as long as you know how to blend it well. more…
Saturday is almost finished and I am wrapping it up with this post and looking for sexy costumes for a friend’s party. I am also nursing a bad case of sunburn, blame me for not applying any sun protection while swimming on the beach earlier today. So how’s your Saturday?

If last week’s look was inspired by Angelina Jolie’s fresh and no-make up look, this week, I am inspired by Scarlett Johansson full make-up and heavily smokey-eyed look. I love that the pink lipstick complimented her smokey-eyes, making her features less sharp.
Do you like it?
Okay, I am off to research these diet supplements not for me but for a friend (read my weight loss entry below) and I am ready for another work week. Rejuvenated from all the vacations we had.
Hope you all had a good weekend and have a blessed week ahead!
I have shared this in my personal blog as early as January because when 2010 started, I was so determined at losing weight and be back to my pre-wedding weight (yes, pushing myself too hard). However, I must admit that I tried out crash diets for the first 3 months and I was not consistent with my workout routines. From January up to now, I have already lost 10 lbs, not bad right? I am still determined to lose 15-20 more pounds in 4 months, yes before my 30ish birthday.
Here are the 2 things that have been very effective in my goal to lose weight. The iphone app (more on that later) has also proven effective to 3 other blogger friends after I have shared it with them. While one of them who tried out the workout DVD has also raved about how effective it was on her.
The first time I heard of 30-day shred was when I was watching a Health TV show, then I began to research about it and so far, no negative feedback. Ordered one in eBay and tried it for 10 days. All it takes for you is to engage in a hard core sort of combined circuit training for only 20 minutes a day. It’s hard work but you are done in 20 minutes. There are 3 levels, so no plateauing will happen. Highly recommended. Reality Check: I am still in Level 1 hahahaha!
LOSE IT App in iPhone is so cool. They will make the computation for you. All you need to do is input your desired weight goal, how many lbs you intend to lose each week and voila! Your allowed calorie intake in a day is there to guide you. Best of all, It’s free! A plus factor is you can add friends and share your milestones.
So even if I read this reliable acnepril review and that taking diet pills are safe, I would still want to do it naturally and without short cuts.

We always have stocks of Lemon at home. I make sure we do. I love to drink my water with lemon first thing in the morning as it helps speed up my metabolism and it acts as oxidants too, not too mention the vitamins it also contains. Apart from that, here are beauty regimen which uses Lemon. I snagged this from Green Living.
Brighten and Strengthen Fingernails: Begin by soaking your fingernails in lemon juice for 10 minutes. Then brush your fingernails with a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and warm water. Then rinse your fingernails. You will be amazed at how shiny and healthy your fingernails look!
Eliminate Blackheads: Rub lemon juice over blackheads before going to bed at night. When you wake up the next morning, rinse your face with cool water. Repeat this cycle until blackheads are eliminated.
Condition Hair: Bring life and luster back to dull, damaged hair by combining 3 quarters of a cup of Olive Oil, with 1 half of a cup of raw honey and approximately 3 table spoons of lemon juice. Set the mixture aside. Shampoo, then rinse hair with tepid water. Towel dry hair, then work in a small amount of the lemon juice mixture and comb it evenly through the hair. Then cover hair with a plastic bag for a half hour. Finish by shampooing and rinsing hair one more time for luxuriously shiny hair!
Create Blonde Highlights: For a kinder all natural alternative to hair dyes and bleach, try this simple formula. Begin by rinsing your hair with a mixture consisting of 1 quarter of a cup of lemon juice and 3 quarters of a cup of water. Then simply sit in the sun for 20 minutes (after applying sunscreen, of course) to activate the lemon juice’s natural bleaching properties.
Breath Freshener: To quickly freshen bad breath, simply squirt a few drops of lemon juice into your mouth, swish it around and then swallow it. The citric acid content alters the ph level in your mouth, thus killing odor causing bacteria.
Mind Soothing Relaxation: For a perfect bath, simply add some lemon juice and sea salts to the bath water, then soak your cares away.

I swear by these Eucerin products. Sorry for the blurry photo, I just took the photo now and with my phone. Anyway, I got these sample Eucerin Everyday Protection Body Lotion and Face Lotion in the mail along with the birth announcements card my friend sent me. I have the driest skin because of the summer heat and guess what, these Eucerin products beats the dryness! Very affordable and could be grabbed in your nearest drugstore. Forget about the high-end face moisturizer and costly body lotion. Eucerin is the answer to those hot weather dryness.
